Buyer's guide

There’s a lot to consider when buying the perfect jacket, ski clothing or hiking pants. That’s why we’ve gathered all the facts you need to find the perfect piece of clothing for you and your needs. Here are our most common questions – and our quick answers.

How does our clothing fit?

We aim for all our clothing to always be true to size, so we recommend that you choose your usual size. If a garment has a different fit, this will be clearly stated in the garment description. When shopping for a jacket, we generally think it’s better to go up a size if you’re hesitating between two, as you’ll want a small air gap in the jacket to accommodate a mid-layer.

What’s the difference between our autumn & winter jackets?

Our autumn and winter jackets differ in material, fit and appearance. Which one you should choose is based entirely on your intended use of the jacket. Our jackets are available in both water-repellent and water-resistant options, and in RDS down or polyester materials. In the end, all that matters is the style and type of jacket you want. The most important thing is that you love the jacket, as you’re the one who will wear it every day.

Which hiking pants should I choose?

We offer a variety of hiking pants, so we understand it can be difficult to know which one to choose. What differs between them is the material, number of pockets, zips, ventilation, whether they have reinforced knees and how water-resistant they are. We recommend choosing pants based on your needs, the function you want and the type of fit you prefer.

When should I buy waterproof clothing?

We have everything from water-repellent to waterproof trousers and jackets; how you choose depends entirely on what you’ll be using the garment for. On all our garments there is a water indicator that shows approximately how water-repellent or waterproof a garment is, to help you decide. For example, if you’re going to be out walking in the rain, we recommend a jacket with between 5,000 and 10,000 water columns. To keep it simple: the higher the number, the better. But if you just want a jacket that can withstand a little drizzle to and from work, a purely water-repellent one will do.

Which fleece jacket should I choose?

We have a number of different fleece jackets, and it’s not always easy to know which one to choose. What distinguishes them is whether they have a full or half zip and whether they are lined or not. Which one you choose depends entirely on what you want to use the jacket for. If you want it as a mid-layer, we recommend our full-zip model; if you want a warmer jacket, we recommend our lined fleece jackets.
